Who is welcome to attend Friendly Folk?
This group is designed for the senior folk in our church and community. Most of the people who attend are over 50 years old, but anyone is welcome.
When do Friendly Folk meet?
We meet on the first Friday of the month from 9:30am until around 11.15am.
(In July we meet the 2nd Friday of the month instead.)
Where do Friendly Folk meet?
We usually meet in the main church building of Sunnybank District Baptist Church. Sometimes we go on excursions, so on these weeks the venue is different.
What does it cost to come to Friendly Folk?
We suggest a voluntary gold coin donation, but we don't keep records and it is not compulsory.
Do you need to phone ahead to reserve a place?
No - new people are welcome anytime. We don't always meet in the church building, so if you are unsure, then please give us a call to confirm details.

What do we do?
Friendly Folk are a social group who get together once a month. We enjoy each others company and widen our experience with activities such as:
- listening to special speakers
- picnics
- games mornings
- devotions
- making new friends
- encouraging each other
- morning tea
What is the Schedule?
Each week we start at around 9:30am.
We spend the first half hour or so chatting over morning tea and a cuppa. Please bring something with you to share for morning tea.
At around 10.00am our event for the day starts. This may be a speaker, or an activity or a games morning.
At 11.00 we wash-up/cleanup, socialise some more and head off for home when we are ready.
