Who is welcome at Impact?
This group is principally aimed at young people over 17 who are out of school, but you are never too old! Everyone is welcome.
Where does Impact meet?
The venue for the social activities varies. Details are in the church bulletin each week, or phone one of the leaders.
When do we meet?
Our social activity is on alternate weekends.
What is the cost?
No joining fees! You pay your own costs associated with the outings. (If this is an issue then we will find a way to get you there anyhow.)
What do I need to bring with me?
Just yourself (and any friends).
Do I need to phone ahead to join?
No - you're welcome to come along anytime. If you aren't sure of the venue for the social activity then give us a call first.
The Impact Group is a group of people who enjoy each others company as a social group.
Sunnybank District Baptist Church has a large network of groups that cater for many different types of people. This group is specifically aimed at young people aged 17 and over, but anyone is welcome.
We encourage everyone who is a part of our church or who is interested in finding more about our church or about God, to be involved in one of our groups. This is not just because its fun, but also so that you can learn and participate with people at a more personal level without feeling threatened by a big group. These groups are also a good way to create a support network of friends who look out for each other.
Some examples of the things we do for our social activities include:
- Youth Alive
- Networking with other youth groups
- Youth exchanges
- "Who wants to be a millionaire"
- Ten Pin Bowling
- Video Nights
- Ice Skating
- Laserforce
- Pool/Snooker Party
- Board Game Nights
- Barbeques
- Pool Parties
- Summer Camps
We're always interested in new ideas and love meeting new people, so come along and bring your friends!!
At S.D.B.C. we have several home groups or support groups that are youth and young adults focussed. If you want to meet up with people who are about your age and have similar interests then ask one of the leaders and they'll give you more info.
